If getting through the day takes all your energy

The Space Between is a therapy space for neurodivergent people to process at their own pace whilst making sense of the patterns behind burnout and self-criticism.

Therapy shaped around how your mind works

A therapy space shaped by lived experience

I’m Michaela, a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with lived experience of neurodivergence. I’m also trained in Compassion Focused Therapy and EMDR. My work is shaped by both training and what it’s actually like to navigate a world that isn’t built for how some minds work.

The Space Between is for people who’ve spent years adapting, masking and pushing themselves through and are now feeling the weight of that. Therapy here is about making sense of those patterns and finding ways to move through life with a little more ease.

As my practice has evolved, I have developed in-depth knowledge and special interests in working with neurodivergent people and parents. These specialisms are in addition to my varied experience and passion for supporting clients with all aspects of mental health.

Therapy that works with how your mind works

Neuro-affirming, not one-size-fits all

Your mind isn’t something to fix. We’ll look at what’s changeable, what isn’t and how to work with your brain rather than constantly against it

Understanding patterns, not just symptoms

We’ll explore the coping strategies and habits that once helped you get through, but may now be contributing to burnout or feeling stuck.

Support that's honest and human

This is a collaborative space. I’ll offer gentle challenge when it’s helpful, alongside compassion and practical support as you make sense of what’s going on.

How we can work together

Individual Therapy

One-to-one remote sessions focused on understanding your experiences, unpacking unhelpful patterns, and finding ways to navigate daily life with more steadiness and self-awaeness.

Beyond symptom management

We’ll explore the roots of your experiences where this is desired, your coping strategies and habits that once helped you get through, but may now be contributing to burnout or feeling stuck.

Integrative

Therapy that is shaped around your needs, combining practical tools with a neuro-affirming approach rather than a rigid framework.
